Our Goals  Webelos is a 20 month program for 4th and 5th grade boys to prepare to join a Boy Scout troop while learning outdoor skills and participating in 20 different activity badges. A well-run group of Webelos is a gradual change from being an 'adult-run' den to being a 'boy-run' patrol ready to fit right into an adventurous scouting troop.

Summary The Webelos program has two major milestones - the Webelos rank badge to be earned at the 4th grade level and the Arrow of Light to be earned at the 5th grade. The final part of Webelos is bridging over into a Boy Scout troop selected individually by the scout.

Is your Fourth Grader thinking about Scouts?
Then you probably have some questions...

What the Webelos 1 are "Doing"...
  • Duty to God Footsteps up Prayer Mountain
A very special Wolf Den Adventure took place on Nov.30th atop Wimberley's "Prayer Mountain", also known as Old Baldy or Mt. Baldy. Although the boys and their parents had to climb 218 steps to reach the top, they seemed to enjoy the panoramic views and sites of Wimberley as the sun went down. They also spotted the bible verse on one of the 218 steps, the Baptist church cross, and the Veterans Memorial hill at Emily Ann Theater and Gardens. It was quite moving as each scout stood up in front of their den and shared a favorite prayer, religious song, comment, or religious symbol. It was moving to hear a few of the scouts stand up and say "God can do anything. He is awesome". This hike up Prayer Mountain and the discussions that took place up there brought us all "a little closer to God" while fulfilling the requirements necessary to obtain the 'Duty to God Footsteps' Adventure Belt Loop.

  • Running with the Wolf Pack!
Congrats to those 11 Wolf Scouts who completed all requirements of the 'Running With the Pack' Adventure on Oct.26th! They did an impressive job running, jumping, throwing, rope climbing, and tumbling at the local martial arts gym. Thanks to owner Master Bruce at Tsunami Martial Arts for leading the scouts through this challenging obstacle course!

  • Overnight Camping on the USS Lexington!
    Corpus Christi, Tx

On October 3rd, our Pack participated in an overnight program on the Lexington, a decommissioned WWII aircraft carrier. All 54 people (scouts and guardians) from our pack enjoyed bunking in the original crew quarters, free-time in the game room, scavenger hunting, 3-D space movie, flag ceremony, and much more!   What an amazing experience for our boys and their families!

  • Wolf Den Hike at Blue Hole
    Monday's Hike, 10/28
Recently, our Wolf Den scouts put their "Paws on the Path" during a geocaching and hiking adventure at Blue Hole.  They did a great job of following the BSA Outdoor Code and Leave No Trace Principles, voluntarily picking up trash left by previous visitors and showing respect for nature and other hikers! We look forward to our scouts being recognized and awarded their first Wolf Adventure Loop at the October Pack Meeting!
Wolves standing near their very own Wolf Den Geocache at Blue Hole.  As soon as we officially register the cache, people from all over the world will be able to search for it.  Good luck!

  • Pack 127 Parade Float!
Our boys did a great job representing Cub Scout Pack 127 in Wimberley's 4th of July Parade!  The Cub Scout 'Camping' theme float was full of scouts from every den in the pack.  Way to show your patriotism Cub Scouts! Our boys also did a fine job placing the U.S. flags all over Wimberley.
