Parade time!

Every year the Pack participates in the annual July 4th Parade through Wimberley.  This year the theme was Stars and Stripes and our float, Its a Grand Ole Flag, did not disappoint.  Thanks to all the Scouts and parents for helping with decorating the float, and riding the float while handing out 1000 popsicles!

  

Cub Scouts take over Austin Aquarium!

This June the Pack did the Sleeping with the Sharks Program held by the Austin Aquarium.  We got to have a private tour of the facility, help feed some sting rays and sharks, watch a movie, and sleep in the Aquarium.  Cant wait to see where we go next year!
   

Cub Scouts Rank Up

On May 5 we celebrated the Rank Up of all Cub Scouts to the next level.  Its quite the sight to watch these boys turn into young men.  Congratulations Scouts on all of your hard work!

Pinewood Derby!

On April 7 Pack 127 held its Pinewood Derby at the Market Days Pavilion.  In addition to each Den getting to race, we also had a class for siblings and parents.  Congratulations to those that placed in each category, get ready to defend your title next year!

Annual Food Drive is a success!!!

On March 2 the Pack sat out in front of Brookshire Brothers and collected perishable food donations and cash donations for the Wimberley Crisis Bread Basket.  Thanks to all of those that took time out of their Saturday to collect goods for the local community.  We collected a truck load of food and over $500 cash this year!  Way to go Pack 127!

Blue and Gold Ceremony

Congratulations goes out to three Webelos Scouts that earned their Arrow of Light!  We had a fantastic ceremony celebrating these Scouts achievement as well as witnessing a couple Cub Scouts moving on to Boy Scouts.  Congratulations Myles, Billy, and William on your Arrows of Light.  They worked hard to obtain Cub Scouts' highest award!

Pack 127 Visits Battleship Texas

On February 9 visited the Battleship Texas and took part in their Overnight Program.  Scouts and their families learned all about the history of the Battleship and got to take part in raising the Colors on the ship in the morning.  We will definitely be doing this one again!!!!


Pack 127 @ Trail of Lights

Every year the Pack decorates the Scout Garden at EmilyAnn for the annual Trail of Lights festival.  I am pleased to announce that our garden won the 2018 Trail of Lights Decoration contest for Elementary aged kids!  Congratulations Pack 127 and thanks to all the Scouts and Parents that helped decorate!

Since we have posted some news, its been a busy summer but now its time to get back down to some Cub Scouting!  We had our annual planning meeting and wanted to get some events out there.  This year we will be doing some camping at some fantastic spots so make sure you get signed up at the next Pack Meeting!

Did someone say Pack Meeting?  The next Pack Meeting is Saturday August 25th immediately following the Market Days Cleanup that begins at 8am.  We will have sign up sheets for some campouts coming up and will be handing out Regatta boats for next months Raingutter Regatta.

We welcome anyone that is interested in the Scouting Program to attend this, and any, Pack Meeting to see who Pack 127 is and what we do!

July Events

July is a busy month for Pack 127 so we wanted to get this out early.

Each year Pack 127 participates in the July 4th parade here in Wimberley.  We will be decorating our parade float at the Pack 127 hut on July 3rd @ 6pm. Please contact your den leader for the location. The parade is July 4 @ 9am.  We will be meeting up between 8:30 and 8:45am, location TBA.  It will be hot so please be sure to bring a water bottle, the Scouts will be handing out popsicles to the crowd to help them stay cool!

We will be retrieving the American Flags that are along RR12 on July 10, meet in the parking lot next to the gas station at Brookshire Brothers between 5:45 and 6pm.

Pack 127's Annual Planning Meeting follows the Lions Field Cleanup on July 28 @ 9am. Location TBD. Please contact your Den Leader if you would like to attend, we will be setting dates for the 2018-2019 year.  The more the merrier!
